DarConte has been photographing and documenting people, places and events throughout the world for a number of decades. Her work—both written and photographic—has appeared in numerous publications including, The Desert Leaf, Shutterbug, AAA Highroads, Tucson Bride & Groom, Arizona Bride, New York Newsday, Studio Photography & Design, Budget Traveler, Rangefinder, Nevada Magazine, and Equal Opportunity Publications (Hispanic Career World, African American Career World, Careers & the disABLED, Minority Engineer and Woman Engineer). Lorraine also creates mixed-media/encaustic works that feature her original photography. As with much of her work, the focus is on women and women’s issues (see Mixed Media page).
